Role of the National Office
The National Office was created in 2000 for the purpose of refining and replicating the Friends of the Children mentoring program. Today, the National Office, led by National Executive Director Kregg Hanson, assists seven Friends of the Children chapters in communities across the United States.

Quality Assurance

The National Office provides training for all Friends, managers, and Executive Directors in the Friends of the Children network. We monitor outcome data for all of our chapters, as well as establish consistent standards and best practices for the chapter network.

Capacity and Sustainability

By guiding and coordinating fundraising efforts, assisting in Board development, and providing marketing and public relations strategies, the National Office supports each chapter in maintaining stability.

Program Development and Evaluation

The National Office develops and refines new program elements for each chapter, as well as assists with their implementation. The National Office is also spearheading a long-term evaluation of our program’s success.
